BREAKING: ‘Dark Knight’ Star Aaron Eckhart Hints At Possible Two-Face Return (source: MTV)

In the past, Aaron Eckhart has had no problems stating matter-of-factly that Two-Face was done for, telling SuperHeroHype back in September that his character was as “dead as a doornail.” Well…maybe not that dead.
When MTV News caught up with “The Dark Knight” star on the Golden Globes red carpet, he was considerably less convinced of his character’s demise, and of the possibility that he could reprise his role as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in a sequel to the record-breaking film.
“I think Harvey — if he’s not dead — is in a serious coma,” stated Eckhart, “and I’m not sure he’s coming out. They might pull the plug on him.” Seemingly firm words, right? Except even the notion that his alter-ego is still alive is a clear departure from previous statements where the actor was perfectly fine confirming Dent’s demise at the business end of a freefalling drop.
We know from our recent interview with producer Charles Roven that screenwriters Christopher Nolan and David Goyer have begun brainstorming ideas for a third “Batman” film…could something out of that have led to Eckhart’s about-face on Two-Face? His wink-wink-nod-nod answer seems to suggest that something else may be at play.
Like all good mysteries, the answer is murky and open to interpretation. So tell us what you think. Does Eckhart’s comments — and the wink-wink-nod-nod way he delivered them — mean we should still believe in Harvey Dent? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
Aaron commented to People Magazine about Heath Ledger's win for Best Supporting Actor
Costar Aaron Eckhart says Heath's recognition is "bittersweet." "Just that we're talking about him, remembering him, we're showcasing his talent and him as a human being, is very important to me. For us – everyone in The Dark Knight – this is all for Heath," Eckhart told PEOPLE at the ceremony.
"I get the chills every so often talking about him," added Eckhart. "I knew Heath as an actor. I felt his spirit and I admired him."

.... Aaron Eckhart raved about Heath Ledger's work in The Dark Knight. "I feel like Heath Ledger put in a beautiful performance, and it's just amazing that fans and critics are recognizing that. It's just tremendous." Ledger won the best supporting actor award, the first posthumous award in the history of the Critics' Choice Awards.

The first update for 2009! I hope everyone had an amazing New Years.
Aaron is part of HMV's My Inspiration campaign which is running all over the UK, where musicians and actors talk about what has inspired them and he used a line from James Bond, "World domination. The same old dream." I've added the scan of the ad in the gallery (credit goes to sammywolf) so check it out.
If anyone is curious where they shot the photos for Set 42 (which was for L'uomo Vogue Sep/Oct 2006), they shot it at a film rental set called Four Aces - thanks to Carly for the info.
